Last weekend members of the Colombian Community in the Wellington region came together to hold a food festival, which approximately 2000 people participated in.
As a refugee-led organisation, walking alongside communities to facilitate their participation on their own terms, ChangeMakers was absolutely delighted to simply be there beside the community members that lead this initiative. The community did this themselves, sharing culture through using the skills and capabilities they brought with them to Aotearoa New Zealand – skills and capabilities that are transferrable to other areas of life in Aotearoa New Zealand.
