Volunteer with us

You can support our work by contributing your time and expertise as a volunteer. At the moment, we have vacancies on our driving programs for female volunteers from the Greater Wellington region (on Turning the Curve) and for male and female volunteers in Wellington, Levin, Palmerston North or Masterton (on Driving for Inclusion).

Help a refugee-background woman to get her restricted licence!

We’re looking for some wonderful women for our driving programme Turning the Curve, who would be willing to volunteer their time to take a refugee-background woman for driving practice. The learner drivers have had lessons with a professional driving instructor and need to practice for their restricted licence test. The learner driver will provide the car for practice; a comprehensive training and ongoing support will be given to the volunteers.
We will match you with a driver living close-by, in Porirua, Te Awa Kairangi (Lower Hutt), Te Awa Kairangi ki Uta (Upper Hutt), and Pōneke.

You will make such a positive difference to her life and her family’s, develop new skills, increase your understanding of another culture and contribute to improving driver safety on the road.

Next training scheduled: 18 April 2026 from 9.30 am to 3.30 pm.

Contact:   Mylène at TTC@crf.org.nz or on 022 522 5066.
