One of the rewards of the work carried out by team CRF is the changes to a person’s life that can occur through their participation in our programmes. Often appreciation is shown through sharing of food, which means team members get to experience food from a great range of cultures.
Recently, Kate (CRF Open Road Driving Coordinator), George (driving instructor), and a volunteer mentor shared a fabulous meal put on by Mozghan following her obtaining her drivers’ license. She wanted to say thank you for all the learning and support provided by the Open Road team to get her through. Kate shared the above image with the team, commenting that the food was Iranian, and absolutely delicious.
Food served included Fesenjan (a dish of chicken, walnut and pomegranate juice), Kashko bademjan (a dish of eggplant, onion, and garlic yogurt sauce), Koukou sabzi (a dish of Iranian vegetables and egg), Kofteh (a popular dish of lamb mince, rice and Iranian vegetables).
