Young people talk back about bullying
ChangeMakers is running a series of workshops on bullying at schools for families and youth, based on a DVD drama made by refugee-background youth from Wellington and the Hutt Valley.
Workshops are being run by drama participants, Interns and the Youth Development Coordinator to cover challenges to do with bullying, how these can be addressed and build connections between schools and communities. Two workshops were held in the Hutt with parents, youth and staff from NaeNae College, Hutt Valley High, St Bernard's College and Taita College. One workshop has been held with parents and young people in Porirua and another is planned with schools on Monday 14 April, 5:30-7;30pm at Freedom Church. Two workshops will be held in Wellington, the first on 26 April. For more information contact Kirsten.
