'Marking Time' Experiences of successful asylum seekers in Aotearoa New Zealand

This research highlights a 'twilight’ population of refugees with severely limited access to services both before and after being recognised as Convention refugees and gaining Permanent Residency.


The report reveals gaps in both information and service delivery, highlighting significant discrepancies in the human rights enjoyed by Convention refugees in comparison with quota refugees (i.e. those arriving in Aotearoa New Zealand through the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees refugee quota programme).
